Jason Stoops is a lifelong Wilmington resident, downtown property owner, and active community member now running for U.S. House in Ohio’s 1st Congressional District. As someone who has directly invested in his community, Jason believes government must serve the people—not itself.
Running as an outsider, Jason Stoops is committed to restoring accountability in a system that too often protects insiders while applying the rules unevenly to everyone else. He believes that laws should be enforced fairly and consistently, without favoritism or selective enforcement.
Guided by Libertarian values of individual freedom, limited government, and personal responsibility, Jason’s campaign focuses on reining in wasteful federal spending, defending constitutional liberties, and creating a fair, pro-growth environment where businesses and workers can succeed without unnecessary government interference.

A central priority of his campaign is demanding full transparency and accountability surrounding the network of abuse tied to Jeffrey Epstein. The American people deserve answers, and more importantly, they deserve justice. Jason supports the full release of all legally appropriate records, thorough investigation of any individuals involved in criminal activity, and the prosecution of those responsible, regardless of status, wealth, or political connections. But accountability does not stop with one case. Jason is committed to exposing and dismantling the systemic failures that allowed such abuses to occur and go unchecked. This includes reforming federal investigative agencies, increasing transparency in prosecutorial decisions, strengthening protections for victims and whistleblowers, and ensuring that no individual is above the law. Beyond this, his broader policy priorities reflect a consistent principle of equal application of the law and a government that serves the people.
